GDP Growth Needed for Steady Unemployment

Continuing the labor theme in the previous post, we look at the economic growth required to keep unemployment steady. The chart below illustrates that the current level of GDP is below what is needed to lower unemployment.

The conclusion appears to be that neither the level of current jobs growth nor the level of economic growth is enough to lower unemployment.
